TQuist was founded a long time ago in a galaxy far, far, away. No, actually the company was founded in October of 2002 in Monroe, Connecticut.
My name is Chris Rufe and I began working with TQuist in spring of 2003. TQuist’s partnership all but dissolved in 2006-2007 and I acquired the existing equity from TQuist’s other partners. You can check out my LinkedIn profile here.
The cornerstone of TQuist’s business has always been the Digital Content Services business unit. TQuist had access to developers intimitely familiar with DSX (once known as NewsMachine) technology and a limited number of DSX licenses to support customers. The DSX platform is antiquated, to put it mildly. However, it works really really well and has been incredibly stable, which has led to long standing customer retention. DSX will not be around forever, but as long as it is then TQuist will be there to provide the expertise to service the DSX platform.
Meanwhile, TQuist has supported other technology related business in the past, including a legal portal and an online flashcard (eLearning) site. Current projects include Machine Learning, SEO and WordPress sites.
